Help with calculating Average of Max and Min values of N

Hello I have the task to calculate the average max value of the first half of numbers and the Min value of the second half of numbers in a listbox..
I want to be able by clicking a "Calculate" button to see the Max value of 2 numbers
I just cannot seem to find anything :(

Try this:

private void btnCalculate_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

int count = listBox1.Items.Count;

if (count < 2)
{
MessageBox.Show("The listbox must contain at least 2 numbers");
return;
}

int count1 = count/2;
int count2 = count - count1;
double max = Double.MinValue;
double d;

for (int i = 0; i < count1; i++)
{
d = double.Parse(listBox1.Items[i].ToString());
if (d > max) max = d;
}

double min = Double.MaxValue;

for (int i = count1; i < count; i++)
{
d = double.Parse(listBox1.Items[i].ToString());
if (d < min) min = d;
}

double avg = (min + max)/2.0;
string message = "The maximum of the first " + count1 + " numbers is " + max + "\r\n";
message += "The minimum of the last " + count2 + " numbers is " + min + "\r\n";
message+= "The average of these two numbers is " + avg;
MessageBox.Show(message);
