Hi, can anybody explain how to use prefetch_related on model instance?

nope, if i want to get A model with all related B and C models, i need to use prefetch_related otherwise i will get an error: FieldError: Invalid field name(s) given in select_related:

u have ForeignKey so u need to use select_related

i have 3 models A(main model) B( with ForeignKey(A, related_name='all_B')) C( with ForeignKey(A, related_name='all_C')) i can use A.objects.filter(id=1).prefetch_related('all_B', 'all_C')[0] but i don't think that is good solution i can't use .first() after prefetch_related, because .first() function hits database again

when u have a m2m you can use prefetch_related by passing the m2m field
