How are monthly leaders calculated on c-sharpcorner

Hi,

I have been active for last few days and my points are around 58 at the time I am posting this question. I happened to check the monthly leaders for May 2015 and was confused a bit. I can see that there are people who have earned say 15 points, but are included in the monthly leaders. I agree that there total points might be a factor in such calculation. So I wanted to know the algorithm based on which the monthly leaders are calculated here.

hello @Anant Monthly Leaders are not only decided on the behalf of answer that are posted by you. It mainly depend upon that how many answer are "Accepted" by user the user .

each accepted answer give a 5+ points .

here Points Earned:55 shows that 11 answer are accepted by the user as correct so 5*11=55

So if you want to become a monthly leader then you should post correct and sufficient answer such user can become satisfied from your answer this will give you extra 5 points and make a position in monthly leader list..

I hope now you will understand what is criteria of selection of monthly leader..

Hello @Anant here total points show that how many points over all are earned by user via post section.....

Monthly leaders are selected only on the behalf of post section not depend upon other section...
but don't worry Monthly Winners are not decided only via Post section they are also select via other performances like articles, interview question .........
so don't worry if your are sorted in monthly leaders after you can become a monthly Winner for this you should participate in other section like post articles, code snepets, interview question........

In my opinion, it all depends on your day to day performance.
How much responsive you are regarding forum posts, giving answer to interview questions, your contribution, your activeness towards this community, etc.
