how can i access my asp.net website from another computer,im facing a error called

Access to localhost was denied

how can i resolve this error

Hi Ananth,
Did u tried with IP of that machine, say for examle I have published my ASP.NET site in server named "XYZ" and when r.click and browse it will work fine in that mchine , when I try accssing from other machine it wont work untill port is firewall free , where u deployed your site in that machine enable that port for ( which port u mapped for deployement ex:8080 ) after that access your site from other machine like follow http://IP.IP.IP.IP:8080/home.aspx

When you want to access your locally deployed web application on network. You need to ensure that your provided link is either and IP address of the system which is accesible over the network or you can provide customize name like www.something.com. For both these method you need to put entry in DNS which is in non-local environment care this ensure that your website link is pointing to some server which gives you edge to change link any time without changing the server IP. IN local deployment case you need to add entry into Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts file manually, only then your linke will be accessible.

No goto start menu from windows and in visual studio 2013 folder from here developer command promt.

For this issue, you could repair your Visaul Studio 2013 first, and try the command line below.

Devenv.exe /SafeMode: Launches the IDE in safe mode loading minimal windows.

Devenv.exe /ResetSettings: Restores the IDE's default settings

try stop running site and start agan.
if it is not helping then right click on sit and go to edit permision change the permission

I think you dont have permision to access IIS server. try run IIs server as administrator

im getting this error while running iis an adminstrator

how are you published asp.net website into machine, you can publish to iis server in the machine and you can access by lan or vpn connection from othr system through IP adress or domain name
