As I already mentioned you can not bind a html control (which come from DB) in to a server control using code behind. You only can add server controls in side a server control. Ex: You can add a level inside a panel control which are all having tag runat="server" As per your question you have html content in your db and that content you wan to bind inside a server control. That can possible in client side (by the help of ajax call). After asp.net server control render it generate html controls then you can find your control and bind your db data to that control. Steps: 1. Create ajax method which will call the Db to fetch the data from DB. 2. inside success method you can bind your data into that control. Ex: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: '/YourWebserviceNamewith path' dataType: "json", cache: false, async: false, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", data: { Param: Yourparam,}, success: function (data) { $("#divId").InnerHtml(data.d); }, error: function () { } });

If you are using jQuery then bind like: $("#divHtml").text(valueFromDB); or $("#divHtml").append(" " + valueFromDB + " "); Note: It will show HTML value as normal text. It means it won't render as HTML.

take one panel instade of a label and in jquery bind the html data in that panel control. Ex: $('#panelID'). innerHTML = YourHtml; Tyr this. i tried this but didnt work are there any thing esle to do????

Asp.net is having server side controls after rendering it convert the server side controls to client side(html) control. If you are storing html in DB then u need to get the data by the help of ajax call and bind that data in you page. 1. Write a webservice (any service) which will get the data(html tags) from DB . 2. Write a Ajax call to call that webservice. 3. In success bind that data on one html tag.
