How can I SHA512 a string in C#? please i need an example

i need to hash a mack key,please help me with an example that will accept a string value and display the hash value

Emma append all byte in a string & print them like below:

// Your input string
string m_Input = "AD50818167EAC73C109168A0F108F32645C8B59E897FA9";

// Convert a string to byte
byte[] data = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(m_Input );
byte[] hash;
SHA512 shaM = new SHA512Managed();

// Convert byte to SHA512
hash = shaM.ComputeHash(data);

// Append bytes
StringBuilder result = new StringBuilder(hash.Length * 2);
for (int i = 0; i < hash.Length; i++)
result.Append(hash[i].ToString(false ? "X2" : "x2"));

Console.WriteLine(result);

Emma all are same only change your input string like below:

// Your input string
string m_Input = "AD50818167EAC73C109168A0F108F32645C8B59E897FA9";

// Convert a string to byte
byte[] data = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(m_Input );
byte[] hash;
SHA512 shaM = new SHA512Managed();

// Convert byte to SHA512
hash = shaM.ComputeHash(data);

Yes Emma you can SHA512 a string. So please once go through below example:

// Convert a string to byte
byte[] data = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes("Convert String to SHA512");
byte[] hash;
SHA512 shaM = new SHA512Managed();

// Convert byte to SHA512
hash = shaM.ComputeHash(data);
