how can upgrade myVisual Studio 2008 Professional Edition to Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1 ?
I want to develop an application in Silver Light ,But i need to upgrade my VS 2008 professional edition to vs 2008 sp1.how?
where i get this ? please provide any link for only VS 2008 professional edition to VS 2008 sp1 not for vs 2010?
And Second thing
What Silverlight version i need to develop silverlight app with VS 2008 sp1 ?

1. Control panel--> add and remove programs--> Remove or uninstall all which are related to Silverlight(Name start with silverlight)
2. Download and install Silverlight Developer Runtime
3. Download Silverlight tools 3.0

If you have a internet connection with ur system where you want to install the VS SP1
Download the 536 kb link and run it
Click Here
Other wise:
Download this ISO file and install it (from CD or DVD or USB(pen drive))

If you use WebPlatform installer for each machine you need to (background download) install it.

I follow ur link and download and install web platform installer x_64 that is successfull install. but now i am install as ur link wpiluncher _3_10 failed. and show same error.

Last week i followed the steps what muralidharan indicates. Installation completed successfully.
MS web platform installer is also a good option....(risk free)...

But there are an error to install Microsoft Web Platform Installer.
Error is:
after 10 min of start error comes:"The Web Platform Installer could not start.Please report the following error on
the web Platform Installer forum.http://forums.iis.net/1155.aspx"
I am using Windows 7 OS.

install silver light 3 and silver light_developer..its enough to use silver light in vs 2008.
