You cannot use Array.Resize method for multidimensional array. The Array.Resize accepts only one-dimensional array.

You won't be able to do it like that as Array.Resize only works for single dimensional arrays - see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb348051.aspx.

if we do it with static method like this
i am trying but error over there :

public class TestArray
{
static int rows = 0;
static int colms = 0;
static int[,] intArray = new int[rows, colms];

public TestArray()
{
Console.Write("Enter the rows of array: ");
int i = int.Parse(Console.ReadLine());
Console.Write("Enter the columns of array: ");
int j = int.Parse(Console.ReadLine());

rows = rows + i;
colms = colms + j;

int len = rows * colms;

Array.Resize(ref intArray, len);
Console.WriteLine("the length of array is: " + intArray.Length);
}
}

There is no direct resize method for multidimensional array but can work around like this.

int [,] a = new int[2,2];
int [,] b = new int[4, 4]; ;

a[0, 0] = 1;
a[0, 1] = 2;
a[1, 0] = 3;
a[1, 1] = 4;

Array.Copy(a, b, a.Length);
