How do I make a windows form application show a web/html page?

Hmm.... I don't know. It *could* be considered a WinForms thing, or it *could* be a IE thing or it *could* be considered more generic. Parsing data from an embedded resource... which he wants to do... is the much harder part of the whole thing and I think that's where this discussion will end up after he's chosen his visual model. Embedding IE is the easy part. And hence, the Winforms-specific part of the discussion kind of goes away at that point.

You reference it thru' the References just like any other non .NET control and slap it on the form. To navigate to embedded pages, check MSDN for "Embedded Resources" and "Navigation with Embedded resources using res:// encoding"

err... I am so newbie, how do I make a html page to show in that Microsoft Web Browser control when the application load? =^^= I dunno the syntax for shellExecute, can you tell me exactly what to do? I already added the Web Browser control on the application, when I view the properties of the control few options are in grey (disabled) and I don't know how to make the control to show a html page when the application load X_x;

Actually, yeah. The IE control ( and the browser ) knows how to read data out of resource DLLs, but I'm not sure it's worth the complexity if you're not familiar or comfortable doing it. You could pack it in a zip, intercept the "Before_Navigate" event and rip out the file(s) requested at runtime to a temp file, then immediately delete them in "After_Navigate" or "Navigate" (whatever the post-successful-navigation event is). Again, not sure it's worth it. If it's sensitive data then it's easy to copy-n-paste anyway. If it's to protect users from themselves, a few calls to mark the file(s) as read-only is usually sufficient to scare off accident-prone users. You could still pack up a zip or other file container and unpack the necessary files each time your program runs. That way you're always sure to use YOUR files even if the user has tried to be crafy and replaced some of them. *shrugs*

Thanks for the reply, I actually found a website that show you how to add the Microsft Web Browser to the toolbar, but I still need help on one more thing, is it possible for me to pack the whole folder of my website data in 1 file and have my application read through that 1 file? it's like making a file container and have my application access, i'm new to programming so I kinda need help =^^=

I would choose #2, it is super easy to use the COM Interop and put a browser control in your web application. If it is only 1 page, then just you #1, but anything else use #2.

1) Write the html to a file and shellExecute the file. 2) embed the IE control (thru' COM interop) and display it there. Personally, I'd choose #1 unless you MUST keep the data hosted in your app.
