how to access private key of a certifcate from cert store

i am having problem in loading the private key from cert store to encrypt message. i made a pfx cert
without password protection using pvkimprt tool. then i imported the pfx into my personal cert store with
the export option box ticked. when i was trying to get the fields of that cert, it told me that export of 
private key is not supported. all the rest fileds were accessed fine.

i m not sure: what else i need to set up to be able to get the private key; if i can load private key from
pfx file rather than the cert store, or from both.
