how to add an existing project in asp.net ?its urgent

you have to browser to the source code directory and select the project file.

probably you are selecting wrong directory

also keep in mind a web site hosted on IIS cannot be added as a project from its published directory

you need to have to project file created in Visual Studio, only those projects created from Visual Studio can be added to an existing solution
