Lets get to the point.
How to add search facility in database driven web site and link the results with their respective .aspx pages ?
EXAMPLE:
Search: sam Go
RESULT TYPE VIEW EDIT
sam.j customer view edit ---------------> open customer.aspx for view or edit
sam.j Group view edit ---------------> open Group.aspx for view or edit
.
.
.
plz don't get confused with the indexing search service with this one because it searches for pages and databased driven web site searches in the data base and link the searched info with their respective pages.

if the only thing required to be done is to set links according to the type column, then u will have to work that out in the ItemDataBound event of dataGrid webControl.
Check the type, and the set the link.
This means that u will have to put some restraint on the number of types, ie, a type cannot be created by the endUser, b'coz every type has a corresponding page.
I hope I got ure point right :)
