How to add two controls in a single column of kendo grid?

Question

I've a requirement to show the Begin Time in a single column of Kendo grid,

For adding a new row or editing a row, that single column should contains two controls, one should be the textbox for entering time like 10:00 and the other one is dropdownlist for selecting AM, PM.

And on save button of kendo grid, the record will be saved as 10:00 AM in that single column.  Also in a edit mode the values must be assigned to respective controls in that grid.
