How to auto populate table data in share point webpart

Hi Friends My requirement is

i have Sql table data one column data i need auto populate in textbox share point visual WebPart How can achive please suggest me

Bhaskar,

Have you tried out the same code for Share Point Web part ? Because if the ASP Code you posted is working for you the same code should work for Visual web part because its nothing but an aspx page along with a code behind .

But the only thing that has to be differently implemented is the calling of web method . In Share Point as you know you might get a code behind file for the web part. But if you write the web method there, you wont be able to call it from the aspx ajax call(this is default behavior). So the work around here is :
- Add an application page to your project and write the web method there .
- Call this web method from the web part aspx page

When should the text box be auto populated ?
user type that text box
With what data should the text box be populated ?
in text box sapid data populate
sql table i have sapid values (51532844,51532846,51532847) like that data i have
in textbox user will type 5153 means what ever data is there in sql table data sapid values populate in that text box.
Should the autopopulation happen based on the current logged in user ?
yes current user.

I understood that you back end has sapid and email id . Now you want to have a visusal web part which contains a text box .

When should the text box be auto populated ?
With what data should the text box be populated ?
Should the autopopulation happen based on the current logged in user ?

i have sql table columns like sapid and mailid i need to autopoulate sapid data autopopulate in textbox when ever user will type that text box sapid data autopopulate i need to do visual webpart only so please give me any suggestions

What do you mean by Populating a text box in visual web part with one column of sql data ? Please clearly state your requirement . Text box would ideally contain data from a single sql cell . If you want to show the entire sql data you will have to go with SPGridView .
