You can prevent a class from being inherited from by declaring it with the sealed keyword. For example:

public class A
{...}

public sealed class B : A // can't inherit from B
{...}

You can also use the sealed keyword to prevent virtual methods from being over-ridden further. For example:

public class C
{
public virtual void M()
{...}
}

public class D : C
{
sealed public override void M() // can't override M further
{...}
}
