hello if you are not working on selectedindexchanged event them simply go to property and set autopostback =false or AutoPostBack="false" > but if you are doing some operation on selectedindexchanged then you need to use ajax use scriptmanager and Ajax UPdatepanel and put ddl and related control in updatepanel mark as answered if helpfull
