How to avoid updating SELECT from dropdown list into db

Hi,

I have a dropdownlist in grid

Select

Approved

Reject

During update if i wont select any value , first value i.e. Select is getting update into db. which should not happen

How to avoid this in c#?

Hi Priya,

We used to save a dropdown value like below:

string role;
role = Role.SelectedItem.Text;

and also check weather you have given value for "select" option.

Can you post your CS page coding for this dropdown. It would be helpful to identify where the error is.. :)
