Everybody has their own tricks to become more productive and self-motivative. It gets really difficult if you do not have a boss.
One thing I found makes a big difference is, writing down your daily tasks list. Break it down into smaller chunks like hourly or couple of hrs modules. Check them off when you are done. Windows 7 comes with Sticky Notes application. I also use Gmail Task List. If you do not write your daily notes, give it a try.
Tea also helps me. Sometimes I do not feel like working but once I make my tea, have in my hand and sitting on laptop switches me to the working mode.
Please share your ideas or tricks of productivity.

1. Make a note of tasks that are to be completed by today at the beginning of each day.
2. update the status of each task on completion of it.
3. At End of Day, just review it what are things are complete and not completed.
4. You can prioritize your work based on the Important and Urgency.
