May be you should have posted a piece of code here. You didn't mention if the application user property is convertible to int32 or not. Just to answer your question, you can use Int32.Parse or Int32.TryParse methods.

In the code you posted, there is no mention of Id at all. Is there any value you are seeing, if yes, can you please post it here, just as example. I already stated that you can use Int32.Parse to convert String to Integer. Hope you noted that. Do you still have doubt? If yes, please post some value and I will post code to convert it.
