How To Close All Child Form and Open Only Child Form At A time

Create MDI Application In C# dot net Conatin(2 Child Form) open one child form and again open this same child form then same form open 2 times.
Please Give me anser to open one child form at atime in c#

Suppose we have a menustrip in the Form with 3 menu items. The first two will open a child form by click. The last menu item will close all the child forms.

Here is the code:

        private void openChild1ToolStripMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

            Form f = new Form();
            f.MdiParent = this;
            f.Show();
        }
        //open child 2
        private void openChild2ToolStripMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {
            Form f = new Form();
            f.MdiParent = this;
            f.Show();
        }
        //close all
        private void closeAllToolStripMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {
            foreach (Form f in this.MdiChildren)
            {
                if (f != null)

If you mean only one form can be open at a time, you can check if there's already one child open, if not, then instantiate a new child and show it. See changed version:

         public Form1()
        {
            InitializeComponent();
            this.IsMdiContainer = true;
        }

        {
            if (this.MdiChildren.Length == 0)
            {
                Form f = new Form();

        {
            if (this.MdiChildren.Length == 0)
            {
                Form f = new Form();
