how to compare two date range From & To for validation

Please help how to trap the validations of if-else-if condition date range of 2 invalid date inputs:

Scenario 1

Download Date From:03/30/2016
Download Date To:03/31/2016

Process Date From:03/29/2016
Process Date To:03/29/2016

Validation:
Process Date Range From/To is less than the Download Date Range From/To.
error message:Invalid Process Date Range

------------------------------------------
Scenario 2

Download Date From:03/30/2016
Download Date To:03/31/2016

Process Date From:04/15/2016
Process Date To:04/15/2016

Validation:
Process Date Range are future dates
error message:Invalid Process Date Range.

As i need your big help on this. Thank you Masters

Same as Vincent Maverick Durano solution.

Using DateTime, DateTime.Now you will be able to to compare the dates and achieve the functionality.

Hi,
Basically you would need to convert your string date to type of datetime so you can compare them.

Here's a quick example using C# (PS: I'm not in my development machine right now but the code should look similar):

DateTime downloadFrom = Convert.ToDateTime("03/30/2016");
DateTime downloadTo = Convert.ToDateTime("03/31/2016");
DateTime processFrom = Convert.ToDateTime("03/29/2016");
DateTime processTo = Convert.ToDateTime("03/29/2016");

if(processFrom < DateTime.Now){
if(processFrom < downloadFrom){
//Invalid Process Date range
}
else if (processTo < downloadTo){
//Invalid Process Date range
}
else{
//do something here
}
}
else{
//Invalid Process Date range
}
