How to configure the server to be reached online sqlserver 2008

Hello experts,
actually i have this problem of configuring my server as it has windows server 2008 as an operating system with the SQL Server 2008 installed on it and i need to know how to configure my server and the SQL server to be able to connect to the databases hosted from any other server ???
