how to connect sql 2008 r2 wtih remote server

Hi,

Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

You will see Connect To Server Window.

In that window in Server Name Drop Down List Select .

You will get New window Browse for Server.

Two tabs are there Local Servers and Network Servers.

To Connect with Network Server/Remote Server Click on Network Servers tab.

and Select Remote Server to connect from the available list of servers.

Enter User name and password and click on connect.

Note : To connect with remote server in SQL Server configuration manager TCP/IP and Named Pipes protocols are enabled for remote server which you want to access.
