How to convert and save canvas drawing to PC in JPG?

I am trying to save image on my computer after drawing in canvas ,so how can i save that canvas drawing to my computer in any image format(.JPG or .JPEG)

i am new to Universal apps(windows phone 8)

i am using visual studio 2013

i am using visual studio (universal apps)in that i created one canvas (like drawing area) and whatever i draw in that that must be stored into an image format(.JPG or .JPEG)

so my question is how to do this in ?

what is the image format? There are many online tools available like tinyjpeg.com that can actually convert image formats and also try if you can open with paint and use saveAs option.
