How to Convert DateTime 30-Jun-2002 12:00:00 AM to Double?

Hi all,

I am trying to retrieve data from MySql db. The one column is DateTime type 12-Jun-90 12:00:00 AM and the other column is type double Price(15.00).

Could you please tell me how to Convert the DateTime to double in order to perform some stastistical calculations and visualisation with R.NET?

R.NET requires only Numerical vectors

Hi guys and thanks for your mails.

But this doesnt work since i want to store DateTime values from MySql Database into a variable in my front end (C#) and then use this variable as numeric.

At the moment i retrieve my db data and store them in a List

I need to Convert this list to double.

It returns me invalid cast from DateTime to Decimal

Hi,

As per your requirement you need to use OADate(). It returns OLE automation date in double format which you need for calculation.

var dataVal = DateTime.Now.ToOADate();

Try this

var converted = DateTime.Now.ToOADate();
Decimal dateIndDec = Convert.ToDecimal(DateTime.Today.ToOADate());
