Using the LEADTOOLS SDK you could perform the conversion of several document types include MS Word Doc to XML through the use of the DocumentConverter class. Do note this is a paid for SDK and I work for this vender. I would recommend you to go for Aspose.Words for .NET Library. It can convert Word files (doc or docx) to XML and vice versa and to many other formats in C#/.NET. You can find sample code for many word document conversion here . I hope this will help you.
