how to count total folder count from website folder

Hello All,

I have requirement like "I need to get total folder count from the Website URL.

Case 1 : Once hit website URL (sharepoint URL) in that users upload folder and I need that uploaded folders count only Main folder count not the insite the subfolder or files.

Case 2 : I need read main folder names which users uploaded folders after hitting the sharepoint website.

Please help us.

To resolve Forbidden error, please pass the credentials according to your sharepoint environment.

I am getting below error message by using this code.
ClientContext context = new ClientContext("Your Site Url");
List oList = context.Web.Lists.GetByTitle("Your List Name");
FolderCollection listFolders = oList.RootFolder.Folders;
context.Load(listFolders);
context.ExecuteQuery();
Console.WriteLine("Number of folder: " + listFolders.Count-1);
Error message.
the remote server returned an error (403) forbidden. sharepoint

Correct the server side code with this line

Please find the code for c#.net.

We have to do the count-1 becuase it will gives you one extra folder i.e Forms

Using Server Side.
using (SPSite site = new SPSite("http://mysitetitle/"))
{
    using (SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb())
    {
        SPList list = web.Lists["ListTitle"];
        var listRootFolders = list.RootFolder.Folders;
        Console.WriteLine("Number of Folder: "+listRootFolders.Count);
    Console.ReadLine();
    }

Using Client Side
ClientContext context = new ClientContext("Your Site Url");
List oList = context.Web.Lists.GetByTitle("Your List Name");
FolderCollection listFolders = oList.RootFolder.Folders;

Console.WriteLine("Number of folder: " + listFolders.Count-1);

_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('libraryName')/rootFolder/Folders

replace your libraryName with your actual library.
