How to Crate stored Procedure search( Vehicelky) by last ID

Hi guys

I need to stored Procedures, it search last Primary key (Vehicle Key) and ID is also (PK) I need search same (vehicle Key) According to last id insert into Table.

Below as sample of table contains same (Vehicle Key) repeated more Than one time

at the same time i will search by VehicleKey Only no ID

Ok what is the solution if I have a day entrance by same the primary key and I created the ID

You can implement it two ways:

1. Using select query which will fetch last id oclumn.Then you need to add +1 to the value.

SELECT ISNULL(MAX(VehicleKey), 0) + 1 as VehicleKey from InBound;

Use above when you insert any record to table.

2. Using identity column. That means it is auto increment value, it will insert automatically when any record will insert to table.
CREATE TABLE Persons
(
  ID int NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
  LastName varchar(255) NOT NULL,
  FirstName varchar(255),
  Address varchar(255),
  City varchar(255),
  PRIMARY KEY (ID)
);
In above query, ID column is auto-increment. So you can use VehicleKey in your case.

Note: If you already have data in your table then write logic to make every row as unique id. Once it completed then use alter command to make the column as identity and reseed the value.

I think Not possible to that but if you alter your table and add the newlatest_updated_datetime column
and then use MAx(latest_updated_datetime)
