I am not sure what it is that you are trying to do. Are you trying to provide a way for your users to customize what keys to be used as command keys or accelerator keys? Or are you trying to determine when a specified key combination has been typed? Or are you trying to provide acceleartor keys for you application? See How to trap keystrokes in controls by using Visual C# for a documented way to do what I think your code that you posted is doing.
