how to create a blank simple excel spreadsheet

I have searched and searched for 2 days now. Every example I have came across is totally different. I have gotten a couple to run, but even with i set the visible property to true I'm getting a blank sheet. This is using web forms. Someone please help

This is the deal. I want to populate an excel sheet with data from a table in a sequel database. I have seen some sample code that looked exactly like what I wanted, but just couldnt get it to work. If any one has some pointers it would be greatly appreciated. I am going to Austin on Nov 10 for a C# class, but I would like to get this done before. Thanks

well you could use Process.Start("excel.exe")
