how to create indexer in our own collection<T>

Collection is derived from ICollection where most of methods are taken care like Add, remove etc, deriving from Collection will reduce lot of burden to implement base menthods.

ICollection is something where you need to implement even normal basic functionality like Add, remove etc and your Enumerator as well. if you do not have such requirement go for Collection or CollectionBase for your Custom Collection,

I could not find any article of these two comparision, lt is open window for me to write this blog for all on this topic.

For indexer by string or int

public T this[int index]

{

get { return this.Items[index]; }

}

public T this[string type]

{

get { return this.Items.First(s => s.Type == type); }

}
