How to create an own portfolio website for free?

I am planning to create own portfolio site for free , easily build and maintainable. Looking for suggestion based on your experience.

Any reference that was used by you, will be helpful for me. Please share that as well.

What type of feature do you want in your website? What is the purpose of it? The simplest way to create and maintain is use Wordpress or similar with a Portfolio template. If you want write your own code, that will be time consuming and also you will need to test, deploy, host and maintain it. Also it will need updates from time to time. If you have a database, that will be another cost. Most of all the above will not be free.
