How to create PUT method in WebApi

Hello,

I want to call a stored procedure in a web api on PUT method..and how to make route parameters for put method..i am new in web api plzz help and its urgent

hello rohit
by default in web api method is get. if you want to make method post you need [httpPost] Attribute
[httpPost]
Public HttpResponseMessage PostMethod(int rohit string str)
(
Put logic here ....
)

no use simple route

context.MapHttpRoute(
name: "v1_0_defaultApiwithaction",
routeTemplate: "v1_0/api/{controller}/{action}/{id}",
defaults: new { AreaName = "v1_0", controller = "controller", action = "postmethod", id = RouteParameter.Optional, type = RouteParameter.Optional });

it will work for post and get method if you use Post call you need to Pass values from body with the help of fidller and Postman
