how to develp the search engines

all to our group how to develop the search engines like google of course not 100% but functionality wise similar i don't need any code but architecture and the planning i want.

Hi friend,

First decide in which basis you are going mine the page.for example if you have to search a text "c# basics" means search the text c# and basics in document.then based on no of occurrence you retrieve the page.

koti I haven't written an search engine, but I know a friend that had a search engine for tennis related information and he had a bot that would go out every night and grab results from google, yahoo, etc and populated his database with it. The rest of the search logic was running against his own database [Tennismundo.com]. The other thing is the Programming Challenges at about.com include all the source code for the winner, download (http://cplus.about.com/od/programmingchallenges/a/Programming-Challenge-37-Simple-Search-Engine.htm) the code and see the different solutions and what you can leverage from them.
