How to do Versioning of file in csharp?

    {
    public TCopyFile(string file)
      {
      int i = 1;
      string newFile = file, oldFile = file;
      string serial;
      FileInfo fi = new FileInfo(file);
      while (File.Exists(newFile))
        {
        serial = "_" + i.ToString();
        newFile = oldFile.Substring(0, oldFile.IndexOf(".")) + serial + fi.Extension;
        i++;
        }
      File.Copy(oldFile, newFile);
      }
    }

Before copying any file , first check if any file with exists with the same name, if yes then try to get the version info for this file. Then create a new version and rename the new file and copy it to the target.
