How to gererate ticket no for the registration page in mvc

Hi frnds Iam insert the data in database using registration form. Here fields like name country statement Now i inserted the data in databse using oracle in mvc.these things i did. Now i want once the inserted data in db after getting the msg here i want display like id 101 is created. How these functionally is created .and how these db data we can update

Hi,
There is two ways for do it.
First Method:
Simply you can do it like when you insert you data in your datatable when first record is inserted then it auto generated Id save in table 1(suppose)
and you want to dispaly 101 view I am right. you can do it like when you get data from database then add 100 earch record in datatable id like(100+1=101) and bind it and you wil also bind origional Id in hidden filed
when you want to update then take hidden field id and update it in datatable.
Second Method:
you can add another column in datatable and store id in it (100+ id) then main id bind in view dynamically in hidden field and click on update then get hidden field id.

Anjali, is this your Oracle database? How are you inserting data in a first place? Is it a PL/SQL package? Will you not be able to select a single value at the end of the package and use ExecuteScalar to get the value?

Much easier to do in MS SQL Server. Unfortunately not worked with Oracle and C# combination.

i used this but i want that sequence should be show when submit the data
and msg show like your ticket no 101 is created

but here m getting msg like your ticket is created
