how to get id no on successful msg in mvc when submit data?

hi frnds

i have a registration page in mvc

field name is name , category ,address

and i inserted the data in data base ,

and in data base Id also generated when insert the data .

now here i want that id should be show when getting the msg like id is created so i want to display that id no on msg

Hi,
use this code for show the message.
Suppose after insert the data in database then you will retrun inserted row id or other id which you want to show.
//Your Controller Code........

Public ActionResult YouActionResult( pass your model collection)
{
      //get the id which you want to show in message
  int insertedId=7;

//Show alert message
TempData["msg"] = "";

// Without Alert

ViewBag.Message =  "Recored inserted successfully";

}

In View use it like.

@using (Html.BeginForm())
{
//with Alert message
@Html.Raw(TempData["msg"])
//Without alert Message
@ViewBag.Message
}

Assign value in your post controller and this Viewbag can be used on View

Hello dear,
you want to return unique Id from the table, as per my understand you have one table like
Table Name Employe
Column Name Id,Name,Category and address is that right?

I inserted the data in table
INSERT INTO Employee (name,Category,address) VALUES('bob',1,'testing');

SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY()
