How to get rid of Conversion failed when converting date error msg

Good Morning,

As i want to insert the value from the textbox in the webapplication into the sqlColumn in Sql database having date datatype...please do help solve this issue as it is showing "Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string" error message!!

Convert text to datetime and then date
DateTime dt = Convert.ToDateTime(dt.Text);
var date=dt.ToString("dd/MM/yyyy");

Good Morning,

Yes Rajanikant Hawaldar Sir.....In SqlTable it is date datatype only...and i have to fetch the data from textbox to insert it into sqltable having date data..and i have done as Sachin Singh Sir told to change the textmode to date but still it is not working and it is displaying the same error message...Please do the needful and oblige!!

Change textmode property of textbox to date and your problem will be solved, now You will get date in date format and you can convert it into datetime if you wish.

insert datetime as 2020-04-04 00:00:00 format, column type should be datetime in table in db
