How to give one value for for loop in vb.net

original code For i As Integer = 0 to 5

i want like below

For i As Integer = 5

its showing me error.
how to do this

what do you want to achieve? a For loop without range doesn't make sense to me.
For i As Integer = 0 to 5
means
for(i=0;i<=5;i++)
{
}
for i as integer=5, doesn't make any sense. what do you want to achieve?
alternatively you can use while loop
Module loops
   Sub Main()
      Dim a As Integer = 5
      ' while loop execution '

      While a < 5
         Console.WriteLine("value of a: {0}", a)
         a = a + 1
      End While
      Console.ReadLine()
   End Sub
End Module
