in form load event set KeyPreview to True
Add KeyDown event handler with the following reference code
private void MainForm_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e)
{
    if (e.Control && e.KeyCode == Keys.N)
    {
         // your code goes here
    }
}
When you not able to handle in such case use ProcessCmdKey below is sample code
protected override bool ProcessCmdKey(ref Message msg, Keys keyData) {
  if (keyData == (Keys.Control | Keys.F)) {
    MessageBox.Show("What the Ctrl+F?");
    return true;
  }
  return base.ProcessCmdKey(ref msg, keyData);
}
