Hello

im having trouble in looping to count every 3rd row from database record and save the value for counted row. any idea

example

id term

1 01

2 01

3 01

4 02

5 02

6 02

how do i get the term value from every 3rd row?

what do you mean by C#

the same you can paas in SqlCommand or Store procedure.
for Entity Framework use below code.
var data=_Context.Students.where(x=>x.Id%3==0).ToList(); // where students is DbContext.

SELECT  term
FROM    YourTableName
WHERE   Id % @NthRow = 0
