How to Inherit the Image class (of the drawing namespace)

The Bitmap class exists in the same assembly (dll) as Image. The internal constructor of the Image class can be used in that assembly. But not not outside the assembly like you want to do :)

It is 100% understandable, But then, the Bitmap object do inherit from Image. Isn't it possible to do the same thing somehow?

You can't inherit the Image class. The Image class is an abstract class but has an internal constructor. Because the constructor is an internal one you can't use that constructor. f you can't use the constructor, no object reference will be returned to the caller. Maybe you have noticed that you can't create an instance of the Image class directly via an constructor. Only through static methods. These methods are the only ones capable of returning a reference because they are defined within the same assembly. I hope it's understandable :)
