How to limit the number of words in datalist?

I have 200 words in description column but I want to display only 100 words in Label in Datalist. What will be the code behind it?

For this inside the loop u can split that sentence with space " " and count 100 index again use the loop and bind only 100 index list.

With substring, this shows 100 characters not words..

Hi, You can do it with 2 ways. 1. return only 100 chars from store procedure or 2. Before bind your datatable in listview use for each loop and get substring if 100 chars or any which u want from using substring function in c# and make it whole text clickable whenever anyone click on text link full text will shown in pop-up.
