How to make child form appear on top of mdi control

Accepted answer

Either I do not understand what you mean by "mdi controls" or you are not using MDI properly. You probably can get it to work using tricks such as what Mahesh suggests but you will likely end up spending more time trying to get it to work than if you chose another solution that satisfies the requirements more accurately.

MDI is not designed for putting controls directly on the MDI parent window (form). So it is good that you are doing it a different way.

What I meant was how can I get the controls on the parent form/mdi container to not overlap the child form when displayed within the parent/mdi form. I found it better to just use a different method instead of attempting to change the parent form controls.
