How to pack dBase tables?

Dear community, I've written an application in C# to manage dBaseIV tables using the MS ODBC driver. Everithing works OK, but I find that, as stated in dBase specificactions, the deleted records remain marked as "deleted". To totally remove them it is needed to perform a "pack" operation over the table. I don't how to do it. Does anybody can help me? Thanks in advance, MHU

Dear all, I've found the solution in other forum. You need to have the FoxPro driver installed and oly works in non-indexed tables, but it's fine: dbconn = new OdbcConnection(@"Driver={Microsoft Visual Foxpro Driver};SourceType=DBF;SourceDB=" + Application.StartupPath + @"\DATA;"); cmd = new OdbcCommand("set Exclusive on;select * from events;pack"); try { dbconn.Open(); cmd.Connection = dbconn; cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); } catch (System.Exception ex) { //Treat the exception here } dbconn.Close(); dbconn.Dispose(); cmd.Dispose();

Copy records to another dbf (thesame with memo file(s)). Next drop original, rename copied file(s) and rebuild indexes -or- mark records instead delete them to use while insert.
