Gitlab extension doesn't work for visual studio 2022 , it works till VS 2019 but you can use VS Code with given extension https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/repository/vscode.html

Hello Vineesha, To pull code from a new GitLab branch in Visual Studio 2022, I followed the steps as listed below: Step 1- Open Visual Studio 2022 and go to Team Explorer. Step 2- Click on "Manage Connections" and select "Connect to a project". Step 3- Enter your GitLab repository URL and credentials to connect. Step 4- Once connected, select your repository from the list of projects. Step 5- Click on "Branches" and select the new branch you want to pull. Step 6- Right-click on the branch and select "Checkout". Step 7- Once the branch is checked out, right-click on the branch again and select "Pull". This should pull the latest code from the new GitLab branch into your local repository in Visual Studio 2022.
