If you want to recognize hand-written text, regular OCR will not work, and you will need ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition). ICR can work with hand-written text, but the text must be clear and should have print-like quality if you want to get good results. One library that has ICR features is LEADTOOLS ( https://www.leadtools.com/sdk/ocr/icr ).
