how to return a recordset?

does anyone know how i can return a ADODB.Recordset instead of a DataSet?

A system I have been working on uses it with COMTI to talk to a mainframe. The ADODB Recordset is populated as a result of passing it into a method as an 'out' parameter. From there, it's just another class with methods etc, that you can pass around (as long as all your receiving clients know about the ADODB stuff as well). I didn't do the development myself so I can't be any more precise than that. Cheers,

I guess you could use COM interopt and use the old ADO, but why would you want to? You could try having a look at the SqlDataReader, maybe that's more what your after?
