how to save discount in database, c#

I wanted to save discount in database, when I select check box then precentage of entered discunt value, else I want to save directly entered discunt value in Window Application c#

try as below code
decimal discount = 0;
           if (txtdiscount.Text != "" && chkbox.Checked == true)
           {
               discount = ((Convert.ToDecimal(txtTotal.Text)* Convert.ToDecimal(txtdiscount.Text)) / 100;
           }
           else
           {
               discount = Convert.ToDecimal(txtdiscount.Text);
           }

//insert this discount variable to your table

for this you have to check for the condition if that check box is checked,if it is checked then calculate precentage from your totalamount and this discount else you can send dicount text value directly
