I am Performing searching operation in mvc on the basis of date .................i want to show selected date how to do it?

You can check on change of datepicker, it will show the date:
$(function() {
    $("#datepicker").datepicker();
    $("#datepicker").on("change",function(){
        var selected = $(this).val();
        alert(selected);
    });
});
